eBay approached Vital’s team in Ireland with a unique and time-critical project that tested our capabilities. We were tasked with the scoping, management, print and installation of a huge four-storey semi-permanent graphic display in the atrium of their EMEA headquarters in Dublin.
There were some unique challenges to overcome which included a four-day turnaround, challenges in the location, weekend work and, most importantly, we could not allow the 700 staff at eBay to view the installation prior to the reveal for a global brand launch.
We drew upon our extensive experience and superb vendor relationships to meet the brief; the whole project team pulled together and put in over 100 hours, including a weekend, to complete the installation in two days. We also came up with a solution for the secret reveal, hanging a 20 metre long curtain from the atrium roof with a specialist indoor cherry picker to hide the graphics prior to the launch event.
The installation was completed on schedule, and the curtain dropped on cue in front of 350 staff in Dublin and 4000 staff worldwide by live webcast. This was an important internal brand message launch, and eBay were delighted with the outcome. Our team will now be replacing the graphic installation going forward, as a result.
This installation in the atrium of our EMEA HQ in Dublin was a critical project around our new internal communications messaging and required end-to-end management. Vital completed the installation in less than two days whilst protecting the key sensitivity around the messaging launch. We were more than happy with how they executed a well thought-out plan and delivered an impressive graphic in our atrium which is admired by our colleagues and visitors alike.
